Bulk import of users with a CSV file

#1

You have the option to import users, both internal users and customer, with a CSV file.

Import of customer records

Note: There is actually no need to import users as email addresses are automatically stored on every email sent to your mailbox

In order to import user records successfully your CSV should have the following columns (header):

email = Email address
first_name = First name
last_name = Last name
company_id = The ID of a company (this is new as of Nov. 15th, 2017)

Note: Columns should be written in lowercase!

Import of Helpmonks users

In order to import user records successfully your CSV should have the following columns (header):

email = Email address
first_name = First name
last_name = Last name
password = Password (at least 6 characters) (Passwords will be encrypted!)
active = true for active, false for inactive

Note: Columns should be written in lowercase!

Updating records
As of Nov. 15th 2017 you can now update records, too. For updating records, match on the email-address of the user and then all records will get updated!
(this works for all fields, execpt the email-address!)

#2

I’ve been trying to import users, but as soon as I select the file, it starts to load the page and after a while of waiting, it keeps showing the same message:
“504 Gateway Time-out”/nginx.

I already cleaned the cache/cookies, our connection is ok and it still not working.

Please send us your CSV file to support@helpmonks.com so we can test and see. Thank you.
